Assalamu alaikum my dear sister,

I pray that you are well and I pray that you found my 10-days email series valuable and eye-opening, highlighting some of the issues that are taking away the peace and happiness in your home.

I thank you for sending me emails and lovely messages of how you have already seen change and thank those of you for reaching out for further support, advice and suggesting topics for the 12 week online course.

I feel your pain and I hear your desperation to be able to help your child. As a mother, our children are always our deepest concern but connecting with a child who doesn’t want to connect with you, or listen to you is very heart-breaking. I know, I’ve been there.

Seeing your child cry and hurt and not knowing what to do about it goes against the very grain of a parent who wants to fix their child’s every problem so that they don’t suffer through life.

Wanting to give your child the childhood you never had, the opportunities that you didn’t have and the openness to express themselves that was non-existent in our childhood seems like the best formula for raising our children. With all the good intentions and effort that we put into raising our children as happy, pious and productive muslims, why is it so hard?

Of the questions that you have sent me, here are the areas of biggest concern:-

  • How do you get your child to believe in themselves and try to reach for the stars when they keep saying they can’t?

  • How do I help my child control their anger and calm down?

  • How do I help my child manage their obsession with screens?

  • How do I help my child choose good friends that treat them well?

  • How do I raise my special need’s child?

  • How do I help my daughter overcome their struggle with hijab and covering?

  • How do I help my children be more grateful and satisfied, especially when I are doing everything for them?

  • How do I talk to my children about Allah?

Our children did not come with a manual and if only they did, you’d buy it and buy every struggling parenting that you know a copy.

But the truth is you don’t need a manual because Allah swt has given you everything you already need to raise your children. He swt chose you for your children and your children for you.  He swt placed you together in His perfect wisdom and knowledge. So rest assured that you can do this and you can do this well.

Of course you can. Even if you can’t see it sometimes, I know that you can. I believe in you that you can because I believe in Allah swt.

There is nothing that we cannot achieve or do in life without the help of Allah swt. He can make anything possible and everything easy for us. Somethings come naturally and somethings need practise but everything is possible.

You may need some training and you may need to practise some skills.

You will need an open heart though – open to seeing something new and something different.

You have heard the famous saying that you can’t keep doing the same old thing and expect something new.

So if what you are doing is not working for you, then how about something new?

So I have been putting together a 12-week online course to train you and give you the skill of helping your child come through the issues that they are facing. It is aimed at helping you, their mother bring out the best in them.

So I am inviting you to join me on this amazing 12-week journey to discover your child and to be trained by me personally as to how you can help them overcome their insecurities, their anxieties, their anger, their low-self-confidence, their frustrations and their worries.

Here is the 12-week plan:-

Shabina, London

“I would definitely recommend this course to parents because it helps you not just to reconnect with Allah but also helps you to understand your child’s mindset, emotions, nafs and innate nature. It has given me the tools to strengthen my connection with my child and support them through their struggles, Alhamdullilah.”

Hiba, London

“This is very different to conventional parenting courses. It fills in the missing gaps where we are not just addressing the behaviour of our children but understanding their thinking and struggles. It is completely aligned with the guidance of our prophet (saw).”

Aleesha, London

“It was such a relief to come across this course. It has helped me in so many ways. Alhamdullilah, the Happy Home Parenting Course has taught me a lot how to work on myself to be a better mother. I look forward to having a better connection with my children and to raise them in a better way inshaa Allah. Alhamdullilah, its been such a great experience.”

Aishah, London

These Parenting sessions were invaluable and really mind-blowing. I realised that I had always put my needs, thoughts and feelings at the centre of dealing with my children and had placed unachievable expectations on them. Sister Amina helped me at a time when I was stressed about every minute and insignificant detail. The strategies I learnt were life-changing because the weight literally fell from my shoulders. This course is a must for every parent. Not only does it help you, but it helps your children and family and ultimately, a happy home is a blessed one!”
